At the coast line, right west of Lisboa is the lighthouse Sao Juliao
located. The lighthouse is part of a fortification and serves as a
residence for the secretary of defence. The lighthouse is not open to the
public. |

The lighthouse at Cabo Rocas is located at the western most point of
mainland Europe, approximately 40 km north west of Lisboa.
The lighthouse was built in 1772 |

Ponte Vasco da Gama (The Vasco da Gama bridge) is a cable stayed
bridge flanked by viaduct bridges. The length of the bridge including
viaducts and access roads totals more than 17 km. The bridge carries
six lanes and approximately 50.000 cars are crossing the bridge daily. |

Ponte 25 de April (Bridge of April 25th) connects Lisboa to the
municipality of Almada. The bridge is resembling the more famous
Golden gate Bridge in San Francisco and it is the worlds 17th largest
suspension bridge. |

The lighthouse at Kullen has the most
powerfull beam of all lighthouses
in Scandinavia. The lighthouse is located some 30 minutes driving
northwest of Helsingborg, near the small town of Møllen in Skåne,
Sweden.

At the harbour of Helsingborg,
in the southern part of Sweden, you will
find this beautiful building which is housing both a lighthouse and a
pilot
station. The building is made of red bricks and is located at the
northern
pier.

The western most point on Sjælland is located at the peninsulina
Røsnæs. At the tip of the peninsulina is of cause Røsnæs light house
located. The lighthouse was built in 1844 and is still in operation.

The lighthouses at Nakkehoved West and
Nakkehoved East was both
erected in 1772. The reason that two lighthouses was built was that
seafarers should be able to distinguise between Nakkehoved and the
lighthouse at Kullen which is located at the Swedish side of Øresundet.
